Shipping Policy

Production and transit are two different clocks. This page explains both, what freight actually costs, and what to do when a carton arrives wrong.

Effective November 5, 2026 Applies to lordscancard.com & all orders Seller OPENNODE INC, Georgia

In short

  • Two clocks run on every order: production (7–12 business days) and transit (2–4 business days ground). Quoted dates combine both.
  • Freight is quoted per shipment from weight, carton count and destination — not a flat rate.
  • Damage or shortage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery, with photos of the carton and contents.

01Where we ship

Standard service covers all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and APO/FPO addresses ship by quotation, since service levels and surcharges vary.

International orders are available on request, usually DAP: you clear import duties and taxes in the destination country. DDP can be quoted where a broker is available. We do not ship to addresses subject to U.S. sanctions.

02Production time versus transit time

Production begins when your digital proof is approved in writing and, for a new account, when the deposit clears. Typical production:

  • Standard PVC cards — 7–12 business days after proof approval.
  • Chip encoding and variable data — adds 2–3 business days.
  • Metal, wood and hand-finished stock — adds 3–5 business days.
  • Rush production — by arrangement only, quoted before it is scheduled.

Transit after dispatch: ground 2–4 business days, 2-day service 2 business days, overnight next business day in most metro areas, LTL freight 3–7 business days. Your quote shows a ship date and an estimated delivery window; the ship date is the commitment, delivery is the carrier’s estimate.

03Carriers and freight

Parcel orders ship with UPS, FedEx or USPS, chosen for the destination and service level. Pallet-sized orders ship LTL freight with a regional carrier, booked with liftgate or inside delivery as agreed.

We select the carrier unless you ask us to use your account, in which case we need the account number and service level at order time. Declared value or extra insurance is available on request; without it, carrier liability limits apply to the shipment.

04Freight costs

Freight, insurance and any accessorial charges are quoted per shipment, based on carton count, weight, destination and service. They are shown separately from the card price and are not included unless the quote says “freight included.”

Carrier surcharges that arise at delivery — residential, inside delivery, liftgate, re-delivery, waiting time, address correction — are passed through at cost with the carrier’s documentation. If you ship on your own account, those charges bill to you directly.

05Packaging and tracking

Cards are packed 250 to a box, shrink-wrapped, with master cartons labeled by purchase order, item and quantity. A packing list goes inside each carton; pricing is never included on a pack list sent to a branch or member location.

Tracking is emailed when the label is created. Signature on delivery is applied where the quote states it, typically on large or high-value shipments.

06Split shipments and kitting

We can split an order across multiple sites, drop-ship to branches, or build welcome kits that combine a card with a lanyard, holder or welcome card. Each destination receives its own packing list and its own tracking number.

Per-destination pick, pack and labeling is quoted as a line item, because it is real labor. Ask for it at quote stage — adding destinations after production starts usually delays the whole order.

07Will-call pickup

Orders can be collected at 236 Nix Loop SE, Fairmount, GA 30139, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 ET, by appointment. Bring photo ID and the purchase order or order number; we will load your vehicle.

Risk of loss passes to you at pickup, and no freight is charged. If someone else collects on your behalf, send us their name in advance.

08Damage, loss and shortages

Inspect the cartons before signing. If a carton is crushed, wet or open, note it on the carrier’s delivery receipt and photograph it before opening.

  • Report within 5 business days of delivery — email [email protected] with the order number, photos of the carton and contents, and the count you received. Concealed damage follows the same 5-day window.
  • Count shortages must be reported within 10 business days; quantities within the ±10% production tolerance described in the Terms are conforming.
  • We open the carrier claim and, once it is acknowledged, reprint or credit the affected cards. Keep the carton and packing list until the claim closes.

Do not return damaged goods before we issue an RMA number — see Returns & Refunds.

09Addresses and refusals

You are responsible for the shipping address and for someone being there to receive the delivery. Corrections before dispatch are free; after dispatch they cost whatever the carrier charges.

PO boxes are not accepted for card shipments. If a shipment is refused or returned as undeliverable, we re-invoice freight both ways plus any carrier fee, and the cards are held until you give us a new address.

10Delays outside our control

Severe weather, carrier outages, port congestion, customs holds, holidays and chip allocation can move a delivery window. We tell you as soon as we know, rebook the shipment and keep the order in priority order with the carrier.

Those delays do not create liability for consequential loss, and they do not by themselves allow cancellation — the cancellation rule in the Terms applies.

11Status and expedite requests

Production status is available on request with your order number; we answer with the current stage and the ship date. Expedite requests are accepted only if capacity allows and are quoted before we commit, because moving one job forward moves others back.
